What we do here at The Confidence Lab

The Confidence Lab supports young people through key transitions into adulthood, education, training and work — moments where confidence, clarity and self-belief matter most.

We work with young people who are capable and motivated, but who may lack confidence, guidance or access to opportunity. Our programmes are designed to help young people feel more assured in themselves, more prepared for next steps, and better equipped to navigate the world of work and training.

Our work is confidence-led, practical and supportive. We focus on building confidence first, because confidence is often the foundation that allows skills, learning and opportunity to follow.

We support young people to build confidence and reach their full potential

Confidence & self belief

We help young people recognise their strengths, build self-worth and develop the confidence to speak up, try new things and take positive steps forward.

Pathways into training, education and employment

We help young people understand their options, explore different routes into work or training, and feel informed and empowered when making decisions about their future.

Communication and interview skills

We support young people to express themselves clearly and confidently — whether in interviews, group settings, presentations or everyday conversations.

CV support and work readiness

We provide practical guidance on CV writing, applications, workplace expectations and professional behaviours, so young people feel prepared rather than overwhelmed.

How We Work?

Our programmes are delivered through workshops, small-group sessions, online and mentoring, and can be adapted for schools, colleges and community settings.

Our approach is:

  • Supportive and non-judgemental

  • Practical and realistic

  • Inclusive and youth-centred

We meet young people where they are and tailor delivery to different needs, backgrounds and starting points.
