The Confidence Lab delivers confidence-led programmes designed to support young people as they navigate key transitions into adulthood, education, training and work.

Our programmes focus on building confidence first — because confidence is often the missing link between potential and opportunity. When young people feel more assured in themselves, they are better able to engage with learning, apply for roles, communicate effectively and take positive next steps.

Our work is practical, supportive and rooted in real-world experience. We meet young people where they are and adapt delivery to different needs, backgrounds and starting points.

Confidence and Self-Belief Building

We support young people to recognise their strengths, build self-belief and develop a more positive sense of self. Sessions focus on confidence, mindset and resilience, helping young people feel more capable, motivated and able to engage with opportunities.

This includes:

  • Building self-confidence and self-awareness

  • Understanding strengths and transferable skills

  • Developing resilience and belief in personal potential

Communication and Interview Skills

We help young people develop the confidence and communication skills needed to express themselves clearly and professionally in different settings.

This includes:

  • Interview preparation and practice

  • Verbal communication and presentation skills

  • Confidence in group discussions and professional environment

CV Support and Work Readiness

We provide practical, accessible support to help young people feel prepared for the world of work.

This includes:

  • CV writing and applications support

  • Understanding workplace expectations and behaviours

  • Preparing for first roles, placements or training environments

Our aim is to reduce anxiety and overwhelm, replacing it with clarity and preparedness.

Pathways into Training, Education and Employment

We support young people to understand the options available to them and make informed decisions about their next steps.

This includes:

  • Exploring different routes into work, training or further education

  • Understanding qualifications, apprenticeships and alternative pathways

  • Building confidence to take informed, realistic next steps
