The Confidence Lab works with young people who are navigating key transitions in their lives — moments where confidence, guidance and support can make a meaningful difference.

Our programmes are designed for young people who are capable and motivated, but who may lack confidence, clarity or access to opportunity.

Young People We Support

We support:

Young people aged 16–30

Including those at different stages of their journey — from those still in education to those seeking work, training or a change in direction.

Young people facing barriers to confidence, progression or opportunity

This may include young people who:

  • Lack confidence or self-belief

  • Feel unsure about next steps or career direction

  • Have had limited access to guidance, networks or role models

  • Feel unprepared for interviews, applications or professional environments

We recognise that barriers are not always visible, and that confidence and opportunity are not equally distributed.

Young people navigating transitions

Including transitions:

  • From education into work or training

  • Between courses, roles or career pathways

  • After periods of uncertainty, disruption or change

Our programmes are designed to help young people feel more prepared, informed and confident as they take these next steps.

Our programmes are about meeting young people where they are — and supporting them to move forward with confidence.

Who We Work With

We work in partnership with organisations that support young people at a local and community level.

This includes:

Schools and colleges

Supporting students with confidence, employability skills and preparation for life beyond education.

Community organisations

Working alongside trusted local groups to deliver accessible, inclusive programmes tailored to community needs.

Youth groups and local partners

Collaborating with youth services, grassroots organisations and local partners to reach young people who may benefit most from additional support.

Partnership working allows our programmes to be flexible, relevant and responsive — ensuring support reaches young people in environments where they already feel safe and supported.

Our Commitment

We are committed to creating supportive, inclusive spaces where young people feel respected, listened to and encouraged.

Our work is:

  • Confidence-led

  • Practical and realistic

  • Supportive and non-judgemental

  • Grounded in lived and professional experience
